Once you place your order online, we will take between 1 and 3 days to process it and have it collected by one of our delivery partners. You will receive a notification email once your order has been collected and is on its way to you. Most deliveries happen within 1-3 days, but can take longer if you are in an outlying area or not in South Africa.
If you need an urgent delivery, please confirm this is possible with us before placing your order. Overnight or same-day deliveries are sometimes possible from Monday to Thursday depending on your area. Orders must be placed by 10 am. You can contact us via the chat on the website or email us at natasha@tashkaya.com.
Delivery Times
Delivery times vary according to your area, depending on the distance from our dispatch warehouse in central Cape Town, South Africa.
- Main City Centres in South Africa: Delivery typically takes 1-3 working days, but can take up to 5 days.
- Overnight Delivery: Available at an extra cost of R40-100. Urgent deliveries need to be booked before 10 am. Please contact natasha@tashkaya.com.
- Outlying Areas: Delivery typically takes 5-7 working days. If you are in a ‘hard to get to location’, contact us at natasha@tashkaya.com, and we can arrange delivery to your nearest PostNet at a cost of R109 for parcels under 2kg.
International Deliveries
If you live outside of South Africa, our DHL partner will deliver your package in, typically, 5-10 working days. Please note that you may be charged taxes and customs by the country of entry. These charges are out of our control and are destination-specific. Tashkaya takes no responsibility for the parcel once it leaves South Africa.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges will be calculated at checkout according to your delivery address. Please ensure that your postal code is correct as this determines the delivery charge. Delivery to main city centres in South Africa is free for orders over R1000. International delivery charges are also calculated at checkout.
Customs and Taxes
You may be charged for handling fees and taxes as your order passes through customs. Any charges on a parcel must be paid by the person receiving the parcel (this applies to retail and wholesale customers). Tashkaya has no control over these charges and we can’t tell you what the cost would be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country.
It might be a good idea to contact your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting.
