South African clothing designer, Natasha Teplitsky, is no stranger to fashion or the arts. Born to French and South African ballet dancers with English, Russian and French grandparents who played piano or danced ballet, she had a love for fashion since a very early age.

Recognizing her passion for clothing, she pursued an education in fashion design studying at Haute Couture School of Fashion Design. Her studies culminated in a school fashion show in 2004 where she knew she was onto something big when 6 of her 8 designs sold almost immediately.

Natasha spent years honing her craft working in high end fabric stores, a top end, established local shoe design company, while always pursuing her passion for styling and fashion on her own time. She traveled extensively throughout Europe – from St. Tropez to the Italian coastline – absorbing not only the fashion, but the sights, sounds and exquisite vistas and experiences unique to these regions which would influence her styling.

She launched her clothing line, Tashkaya, in 2009 and looks forward to pursuing her love of fashion on a grander scale with an ambition to see her clothes become a mainstream staple.
